- Year of first publication: 1977
- The first academic journal in Korea devoted to tourism studies
- Since its first issue in 1977, it has continued to achieve quantitative and qualitative growth. In 2013, it was selected as one of 66 excellent journals among 5,634 journals published in Korea by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and in 2017 it was selected as an excellent registered journal, an honor given to only 34 journals among 852 registered journals by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
- The journal publishes eight issues annually and includes special issues by the Tourism Resource Development Division and the Hotel and Foodservice Management Division.
