Message from the President

Dear members of the Tourism Sciences Society of Korea, and all those who care about the development of tourism,

I sincerely extend my gratitude to all of you. I am Won-Seok Seo, serving as the 28th President of the Society, entrusted with the responsibility of advancing the Society's future vision and development together with you.

For many decades, the Tourism Sciences Society of Korea has provided an academic forum in Korea's tourism field where scholarly research, policy proposals, and practical engagement come together. Through this foundation, the Society has fostered broad networks among diverse institutions and organizations and has contributed meaningfully to the development of Korea's tourism industry.

Going forward, we will continue to pursue six core directions for further growth: academic and intellectual advancement, social responsibility, balanced regional development, stronger international academic cooperation, a fair organizational culture, and the cultivation of future talent.

We will support scholarly exchange through journals, conferences, workshops, and a wide range of academic activities so that innovative ideas from emerging researchers and the expertise of experienced scholars can work together in harmony. We will also create an environment in which members can continue conducting deeper research by systematically sharing accumulated research resources and databases.

In addition, we plan to further strengthen cooperation with domestic academic organizations, international institutions, government, industry, public agencies, and other related stakeholders. We will continue to broaden opportunities for interdisciplinary and collaborative research so that Korean tourism can remain competitive on the global stage and sustain healthy growth.

With the active participation and support of our members, the Tourism Sciences Society of Korea will continue to uphold its values while responding proactively to a changing future. I respectfully ask for your continued interest, encouragement, and support as we build a Society that is transparent, fair, and capable of making an even greater contribution.
